Dual Whole House Water Filtration System with 3/4" Inlet / Outlet Brass Ports (RA125-10D-S-PL).-excellent to remove chlorine, sediment, odors and many other chemicals and contaminants. This unit will effectively eliminates many impurities from tap water to offer sparkling clean and great tasting water throughout your whole house. Melt-blown Polypropylene Sediment filters - Sediment filter is often the first filter installed in the Reverse Osmosis circuit. Sediment filters are made of fine melted polypropylene, which is then blown and spun in a cylinder-like form. The main function of a sediment filter is to remove large and fine particles from a drinking water, such as sand, dirt, silt, and rust particles. Removal of such particles allows for a better performance of all the following filters, such as Carbon Block or GAC filters. Lifetime: Replace two or three times a year, depending on the water quality. Pleated Sediment Water Filters Cartridges (PL-10) - Sediment filter reduces sand, dirt, silt, rust, and scale particles in residential and commercial water. The filter is made of resin-impregnated cellulose and polyester media pleated around a polypropylene core for strength. Pleated design provides amplified surface area and extended filter life. Those filters are washable & reusable. Pleated filters remove undesirable particles, chemicals from water by means of a semipermeable barrier, adsorption, or biological processes. They are made of densely packed synthetic that trap suspended particles, materials that block microbes or adsorb unwanted chemicals, or substances that cause a chemical change, such as acid neutralization.
