2 Mil Kapton Tapes are made from Kapton HN film with silicone adhesive. They have been used in applications at temperatures as low as -452 degrees F and as high as 500 degrees F. Applicable for automotive sensor and manifolds, etching, fiber optics cable, high temperature powder coating, semiconductor manufacturing, wave soldering during circuit board assembly, protection of circuit board gold finger contacts during wave solder, insulation on transformers, motors and coils, and solar panels. Removes cleanly without adhesive residue after exposure to heat. High performance silicone adhesive. High strength backing provides superior resistance to puncture and tear.
