On January 24, 1923 P.J. Swanson and Chas. T. Lyons formed the Tire Mat and Bi-Products Company, Inc. to capitalize on the patent filed by P.J. Swanson for the invention of the tire-link mat. In July of 1924, Chas. T. Lyons, H.W. Bell and Howard R. Lyons formed a successor company called Durable Mat Company, Inc. and were shortly joined by C.L. Morris and Falcon Joslin, whom jointly comprised the management team that would established what is today Durable Corporation. Patented in 1923, Durite is one of the toughest, long lasting anti-fatigue mats available today. It helps create foot comfort and traction especially where people stand for long periods of time. The open mesh construction provides excellent drainage and dirt retention. Durite 108 mats are easily rolled up for thorough cleaning and convenient storage. They are perfect for in-plant applications at workstations, along assembly lines, in front of machines or in aisles and passages. Approximately 5/8" thick. Herringbone Weave, 36" x 72".
